Description
This video focuses on how do you know if your intuition is correct when you look to it for insights and guidance? As discussed, it is hard to know because assessing your intuition is so subjective. Still, you can get a strong sense of whether your information or choice is right by measuring your impression of the intensity of your belief and your probability of being correct.
The video features some exercises in which you test out your belief in the accuracy of your information or how probable is it that you are making the right choice. The video shows how to get a sense of the probability you are accurate and then test the strength of your belief against the results in whether something happened or not or whether you made the right decision or not.
Still another technique discussed is reflecting back on how you felt when you believed something strongly or felt you were right and noticing when you experience similar sensations in the future – which is a sign you can trust your intuition in that situation.
The video features some interviews with people who developed their sense of accurate knowing in this way. Then it presents some guidelines on how to look back and notice the differences in when your intuition was correct and when it wasn’t, so you can use this experience to assess how well your intuition is working in the future. The exercise will guide you to examine your feelings when you had a feeling, premonition or belief about something and were correct, so you can notice similarities between them and use these as cues in the future to indicate that a feeling or insight is correct. Then, you will examine your feelings when you had a feeling, premonition, or belief that turned out wrong so you can looking for similar cues to indicate that a feeling or insight is not correct.
The video guides you to reflect on the differences you just experienced in the intensity and quality of the feelings you had when you were correct and when you were incorrect. You will also any differences in where the feeling was located or the images or words associated with them to help you know in the future whether or not to pay attention to a feeling, premonition, or belief.
Finally, the video provides another way to improve your intuitive success rate by using your intuition in everyday situations. Then, you need to notice the difference in the way you feel when you are correct and when you are not. As the video describes, you can test your intuition in various ways and check later to see if you are correct (or at least close) or not. For example, some possibilities include imagining the number of calls on your voice mail while you are gone, the number of e-mails you will receive that day, and whether a certain person will call or not. As you test yourself, you should notice how certain you felt when you were correct and how accurate your impressions were. Then, as you feel more certain about your ability, you can apply it more confidently to make decisions or predict what is likely to happen in the future.
